Florida Part II: The House

There was something about this vacation that made me feel pretty fancy.

I think it was this house. :)

Most of us were able to stay here during our week-long vacation. It is a rental home in Cape Coral, situated perfectly on the Caloosahatchee River. With 5000 square feet, it has four bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a TON of amenities. Apparently, in 1992, it was on the market for $850,000, the most expensive property in Cape Coral. I wonder how much it's worth today???

(Forgive the "lived-in" nature of the house...I should have taken these photos when we first arrived but instead took them the day before we left. I think you can tell we had a good time. :) )

The "great room" as you enter the front door.

Stairs leading to the Master Suite.

More of the great room.

Formal dining room just off the front entrance.

Breakfast nook and kitchen.

Sitting area beside breakfast nook and kitchen.

Game room with pool table, tv/dvd, and bar.

Our room.

The Master Suite.

(just ignore those monkeys jumpin' on the bed)

Master bath

View from the balcony (that's our own dock and tiki hut).
