Picture of the Day, Week 32

I'm a bit delayed on getting last week's POTDs posted because 1) I'm still coming down off of a natural high, after spending an amazing girls weekend with my cousins, and 2) I'm a bit out of sorts as I have been without the boys since last Friday. Grammy and Papa came to my cousin's house to pick them up on Friday, and after spending part of the weekend at my Aunt B's house playing with my cousin's kids, off they went to Minnesota to spend the bulk of this week. They'll come home on Thursday.

So, I have a lot on my "to do" list; much I'd like to accomplish while I'm "off duty", but I do find myself a bit discombobulated without the boys here. Although there is much to do, I don't know what to do with myself! I guess it takes time to move out of mom-mode in order to accomplish normal tasks that usually are done half-heartedly or take much longer to complete. So weird. In any event, I'm thankful for this quiet time, and thankful that the boys are getting some quality time with Grammy and Papa.

{More on that later.}

Anyway. Moving along.

I only have Sunday through Thursday pictures, so far, for this week. I had a bit of a snafu with my camera that housed Friday's and Saturday's pictures (just imagine three women pampering themselves and burning up the credit cards, and you'll get the picture!). Brad said he'd work on the recovery efforts for those photos, so I'll post with next week's POTDs.

Enough chit chat. :)

Our week started with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. We went out for dinner and then stopped at the ice cream shoppe up the street for some sweet treats.

Drew received a free admission ticket to the zoo from his summer reading program, so we headed out this afternoon to check it out. Drew loved the animals (especially the giraffe), and both boys did great, considering how hot it was. {This picture was taken as we were leaving, and you can see that although Reed enjoyed the zoo, he was ready to be done with the heat!} You can read more about our zoo visit here.

Where does the time go???

I just love this picture of Brad, dancing with the boys in the living room.
He's such a great dad.
And to prove that he isn't dancing by himself... :)

The boys and I loaded up the van to head out for our weekend adventures!

  2. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my Project Life blog. About that school bus cake... I should have mentioned how easy it is. I used a cake mix and baked it in a bread pan. After it cooled I just made 1 cut down and 1 cut across to form the bus windshield/hood shape. Very easy! Looks like you are enjoying life with all boys as well. So fun!
