8 Days Until Christmas
Today's activity: "go see the Christmas lights"
We started our evening with dinner at Applebee's. I haven't been cooking much this week due to being sick (although, to be fair, I don't ever really cook that much) and because we had a couple free kid's meal tickets and a little spare change on an old gift card, out to eat we went. We soon discovered, however, that we maybe should have gone with the frozen pizza at home. A combination of Brad's sour stomach (yep, I'm afraid it might be his turn), slow service, and finding something in our food that shouldn't have been there...it wasn't our best Applebee's experience.
Anyway, on our way home, we took a detour through one of the larger subdivisions in town to see the Christmas lights.

It turned into quite the hunting expedition, counting the Baby Jesus's and searching for reindeer...which soon turned into giraffes, lions, tigers, and other jungle creatures.Then we drove through Mineral Springs Park, where the pavillion was lit with lights and there were several small evergreens decorated in loving memory to many deceased loved ones from our area.
Minus our meal, it was a delightful evening together!
