Today's activity: "wrap presents"
Ok, so this was one of those "kill two birds with one stone" ideas. Get one of my Christmas duties done with help from the boys while also taking care of one of our 24 Advent activities.
Well, uh, this one needs to be filed under "Not One of Mom's Most Brilliant Ideas". (whew, that file is getting thick...)
Let's see...
Reed's curious fingers into everything.
Drew discovering the toys he's giving to his cousins are great. So great, he wants them too. (And yes, I saw this one coming...I was just totally banking on my mommy negotiating skills. I'm such a fool...they were trumped by my 3 1/2 year old.)
Reed's curious fingers discover the scissors.
Drew wanting to be helpful but tearing paper instead.
Reed's curious fingers discover the tape.
Drew still wanting the toys he's giving to his cousins.
Mom can't find the tape.
...and we're done.
I finished after the boys went to bed.
Lesson. Learned.
Been there, done that. And this year, even! I thought it would work but it didn't. Yes, it's best to do when the kids are in bed.
