{Advent Action} Day 13

13 Days Until Christmas

Today's activity: "empty the linen closet and take personal care products to church for donation to CCO"

The greatest benefit to using coupons and playing the drug store game is, obviously, the money we save. The other huge advantage to using coupons is that we are then able to give so much more generously because we've spent literally pennies on the things we've purchased. We have quite a stockpile of personal care items in our linen closet, and people need soap just like they need peanut butter. So much like we did last weekend when we emptied the pantry, the boys and I took stock of our linen closet and cleaned house for those in need.

And just like when we emptied the pantry, Drew challenged me on how much I was planning to donate. He just kept grabbing and saying "Mama, they need this too!" I think he's catching on. :)

Our church takes donations for one of our local community outreach centers, so we took our bags there instead of going directly to the community center.
